Cunard 175th Anniversary

“Exactly 175 years ago Britannia left British waters bound for America” – Cunard, 2015

On 25th May 2015, The Queen Mary 2, Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth ships reunited in Liverpool for the first time in Cunard’s history, sailing in formation down the Mersey, as well as performing a water ballet whilst the red arrows flew overhead. It is believed the event attracted more than 1.6 million visitors to the area, concluding on the third day with a brilliant firework display.

6 months prior to the 3-day weekend celebration, we were asked to produce several Acrylic desk plates with digital clocks that were given to local Dignitaries, including the Lord Mayor.

Additionally, we created a 1500mm x 100mm larger Acrylic panel that included the 100-day countdown clock, which is now situated at Liverpool’s famous Mersey Ferry Terminal.
